The AcSB continues to seek an additional financial statement user to serve on the Group and would welcome expressions of interest from individuals with that background.

The purpose of the IDG is to assist the AcSB in identifying issues relating to the application of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRSs) in Canada. The IDG will be a public forum in which such issues can be discussed. The IDG will make recommendations to the AcSB as to whether particular issues should be referred to the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) or the IASB’s International Financial Reporting Interpretations Committee.

The first meeting has been set for Wednesday November 25th in Toronto. Further details will be made available in due course.
