The Accounting Standards Oversight Council (AcSOC) is seeking input from interested stakeholders on the future of financial reporting by not-for-profit organizations. The Accounting Standards Board and the Public Sector Standards Board issued a jointly developed Invitation to Comment on possible future directions in setting standards for not-for-profit organizations (NFPO), the comment period for which closed on June 30, 2009. Both Boards will be reviewing respondents’ comments and the results of roundtable consultations across Canada, prior to consulting with AcSOC. To supplement the outcome of the Boards’ discussions and AcSOC’s consideration of their recommendations, AcSOC is extremely keen to hear first-hand from NFPO stakeholders.
