Purpose Membership Meetings Additional information The Accounting Standards Board (AcSB) established the Private Enterprises Advisory Committee in 2010 to assist the AcSB in maintaining and improving the accounting standards for private enterprises. Purpose The purpose of the Private Enterprises Advisory Committee is to assist the AcSB in maintaining and improving the accounting standards for private enterprises and advise on the need for non-authoritative guidance about the standards. At the request of the AcSB, the Committee may also undertake research into the financial reporting needs of private enterprises. Membership Membership of the Committee comprises a Chair and other members with a range of backgrounds and experience, including preparers, users and accounting practitioners involved with private enterprise financial statements. Members are expected to have an in-depth knowledge of the accounting standards for private enterprises and of their application in practice. Current members of the Committee are listed here. Meetings The Committee normally meets four times a year. A summary of discussions of each Committee meeting will be made available shortly after each meeting. Meeting schedule: Members of the public are encouraged to submit issues for consideration by the Committee.
